Vegan Fried Chicken Company Expands to San Diego

Atlas Monroe, a vegan fried chicken and food company that appeared on ABC’s hit television show Shark Tank, will be expanding its footprint to include San Diego. The company’s expansion comes with the purchase of a two-story, nearly 10,000-square-foot freestanding warehouse building near the Chula Vista community that will house a food manufacturing facility.

The company is currently based in the Bay Area and was founded to show that an alternative, healthier lifestyle can also be appetizing. It offers plant-based options that vegetarians and vegans often miss out on like apple wood-fired ribs, award winning extra crispy fried chick’n, deep fried and stuffed turkey rolls, signature sauces, and deserts.

Colliers International’s Mark Lewkowitz, SIOR, Chris Holder, SIOR, and Will Holder represented Deborah Torres of Atlas Monroe, as well as the seller, Jerrold B Siegel. The property at 2243 Verus St. was acquired for $1,850,000 and was formerly used as a food production warehouse.
