Vantage Data Centers Wraps Up First Phase of Ashburn Mega-Campus

Vantage Data Centers has completed phase one of its Ashburn mega-campus in Northern Virginia’s “Data Center Alley.” The 42-acre campus will consist of five data centers totaling 142 megawatts and more than one million square feet when fully developed.

Phase one will provide Vantage customers with 6MW of IT capacity, and will be the company’s largest campus to date. The second phase will add 8MW. It’s scheduled for completion in August.

“As we open the doors at our newest campus, we are attracting major hyperscale, cloud and enterprise prospects across the globe,” said Lee Kestler, chief commercial officer at Santa Clara, CA-based Vantage. “We are now focused on ramping up the second phase of development to keep up with demand.”

Buddy Rizer, executive director of economic development for Loudoun County, noted that the county is the world’s largest data center market “and companies like Vantage help make that a reality.”
