Vance Looking to Unload Site Near Amazon’s Seattle HQ Eyed for 2.5M SF of Development
A pair of blocks in downtown Seattle near Amazon’s HQ have been listed for sale, quietly. The site, reportedly being offered by Seattle-based Vance Corp., could fetch $175 million.
The parcels encompass 1.4 acres and span from Stewart Street to Olive Way, between Fifth Avenue and Seventh Avenue. The land sits strategically between the CBD and the South Lake Union neighborhood where Amazon calls home. The parcels could accommodate up to 2.5 million square feet of development, according to Real Estate Alerts.
Unico Properties’ Lori Hill told the Seattle Times, “The location is excellent and is really well suited for a variety of uses.”
The land currently houses the 10-story landmark Lloyd Building, a Bank of America branch and a mix of garage and retail space. The nearby 3.3-million-square-foot Amazon HQ complex and the Spheres conservatory showpiece now sits on three blocks it acquired for $207.5 million in 2012.
