Van Trust Buys 350 Acres in One of Southern NV’s Largest Land Deals

In one of the largest land transactions by a private developer in Southern Nevada in recent years, VanTrust Real Estate recently purchased 350 acres north of the Interstate 15 and Speedway Boulevard interchange. The property, which is nestled between the new North Las Vegas waterline and the Union Pacific Rail line, will be the future home of approximately 4.5 million square feet of distribution facilities. Construction of utility and roadway improvements are expected to begin in third quarter, with building construction following shortly thereafter.

This project will add to VanTrust’s 5.75 million square feet of development delivered at Northgate Distribution Center and Tropical Distribution Center, which are home to companies such as Amazon, Sephora, Reckitt Benckiser and Fanatics. The site is located approximately five miles north of the two centers delivered in the past five years.

This land purchase comes on the heels of VanTrust’s recent announcement of the acquisition of 16 acres for a 246,000-square-foot speculative industrial distribution building located at the northwest corner of Tropical Parkway and Nicco Way with a March 2022 completion date. That building will be the 11th building developed by VanTrust in North Las Vegas in the past five years.
