SRH spending $33M on upgrades for 5 Dallas value-add properties

Value-Add Investor Spending $33M on 5 Dallas-Area Properties

A company that recently acquired five adjacent multifamily communities in the Bachman Lake area is putting $33 million into a capital improvement program. Strategic Realty Holding’s Eddie Lorin says by doing so, he wants to “bring light to the blight.”

Over the past five months, Strategic Realty Holdings has acquired 1,100 units. Rather than over-improving and pricing out residents in the area, they plan to make improvements and keep rents affordable to the low and moderate-income families living there.

The five communities are being rebranded as The Hollow, each with its distinct identity but benefitting from shared amenities and programs.

This month, they will be celebrating the opening of a new 10,000-square-foot amenity center (see photo), unique for properties of this vintage in the area. It will include a game room, business center, after-school program room, fitness center and a multipurpose room for tenant celebrations.

Over the years, they have bought, transformed and sold more than 7,000 units in Dallas.
