Valleywise Health Breaks Ground on 673K-SF Medical Center
Valleywise Health began construction on its new health medical center in Phoenix. The 10-story, 673,000-square-foot building, adjacent to the current medical center at 2601 E. Roosevelt St., is going north at a cost of $900 million, with completion scheduled by late 2023. The project is being funded by a voter-approved proposition.
The facility will have 233 private patient rooms, a dedicated room for the Arizona Burn Center, 10 operating rooms, two interventional radiology areas, two catheterization labs, a dedicated procedural floor and a rooftop and ground-level helipad. Valleywise Health, formerly the Maricopa Integrated Health System, provides services to the underserved population, and is Arizona’s only public teaching health system.
The general contractor on the project is Kitchell. Cuningham Group and EYP are the architects.
