Vacasa’s Former Pearl District HQ Hits Sublease Market
Portland-based Vacasa listed its former Pearl District headquarters for sublease. The vacation rental firm is offering 37,000 square feet on the top floor of the 75,000-square-foot RiverTec building owned by Unico at 926 NW 13th Ave. in downtown Portland.
The move is expected to help save money and is part of a consolidation of operations into the Heartline building, where Vacasa occupies roughly 61,000 square feet. The company indicated the primary reason for subleasing the former HQ space was it simply wasn’t needed, especially now that teams are working remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Vacasa manages more than 26,000 vacation rentals across the globe. It has quickly grown from its founding in 2009 to employ upwards of 6,000 people corporately as well as at subsidiaries.
