UTEC Signs for 53K SF in Downtown Fort Wayne

United Technologies Electronic Controls Inc. (UTEC) recently signed a long-term lease for 53,246 square feet in the Indiana Office Center building, located at 111 E. Wayne St. in downtown Fort Wayne, IN. The company will occupy several floors of the building.

Brad Sturges, president of Sturges Property Group, handled the transaction for the landlord. Sturges Property Group will also coordinate the construction of the tenant improvements, led by senior property manager Tammy Canfield.

“UTEC’s decision to locate this business unit right into the middle of our CBD has a direct correlation to the culture and environment that has been created by the investments in downtown,” said Sturges.

A global manufacturer of electronic controls for the HVAC, foodservice, and RV industries, UTEC plans to bring up to 140 engineers, research, and development staff to the new space later this summer.

There’s still time to register for Connect Industrial Midwest, coming to Rosemont, IL on March 4. For more information, or to register, click here.
