USTA Texas Targets Indigo Ridge for HQ, Facilities
The United States Tennis Association announced plans to relocate its Texas headquarters to Cedar Park, TX, north of Austin. According to a memorandum of understanding inked between the USTA Texas and the city, the $1.5 billion facility will be built in the mixed-use, Indigo Ridge development.
Plans call for the USTA Texas property to include 40 tennis courts (six to eight of which will be indoor), a stadium court and related amenities for training, development and competition. The tennis center will be owned and operated by USTA Texas.
The 155-acre Indigo Ridge, at East Whitestone Boulevard and Sam Bass Road, will have five million square feet of upscale retail, dining, residences and a hotel, along with medical, sports and entertainment uses. Gensler developed the master plan and Avison Young is the project’s broker.
