USA Gymnastics Seeks Training, Camp Locations

USA Gymnastics has backed out of a deal to purchase more than 35 acres at Houston-area Karolyi Ranch. The Indiana-based organization cites unexpected, deal-associated financial expenditures among its reasons for canceling the planned transaction. The group is now searching for new sites.

“USA Gymnastics is presently continuing under the current lease arrangement to hold national team activities at the ranch, while it is exploring alternative locations for training activities and camps,” reads a statement from USA Gymnastics.

The ranch, situated within Sam Houston National Forest, has served as a U.S. Women’s National Team Training Center since 2001, and a U.S. Olympic Training Site since 2011.
