US Storage Acquires 445-Unit Facility in Boston

Self-storage owner/operator US Storage Centers has acquired a 445-unit, 34,116-square-foot self-storage facility in the Boston suburb of North Waltham for an undisclosed price. The property, which is located at 115 Bacon St., was originally built as a manufacturing plant in 1900 and converted to a self-storage facility in 1983.

Features of the facility include climate-controlled units, onsite moving carts, a loading dock and video surveillance. With the acquisition, US Storage now owns and operates four self-storage facilities in the Boston area.

“We will continue to be active in this part of the country, and plan on having a much larger market share in this state over the coming months,” said Charles Byerly, CEO of US Storage Centers.

US Storage Centers represented itself in the acquisition. The seller was Planet Self Storage.
