Urban Renaissance Group Opens Canvas at Press Blocks in PDX Stadium District

Seattle-based Urban Renaissance Group LLC (URG), in partnership with Security Properties and Invesco Real Estate, delivered Canvas at Press Blocks, a 140,000-square-foot building in Portland’s evolving Stadium District/Goose Hollow neighborhood. Popular Portland-based Migration Brewing will be the first tenant in the new nine-story building at 1750 S.W. Yamhill St, opening rooftop patio taproom.

URG’s Patrick Callahan says, “Press Blocks is our largest development in Portland. We are optimistic about the long-term prospects for the Stadium District and believe that the desirability of the Canvas office space will appeal to employers who need to recruit talent.”

Canvas represents the first phase in the two-phase, three-building Press Blocks development, located on the former site of The Oregonian newspaper’s printing facility. The second phase of the project will include a 23-story, 342-unit residential tower and a 30,000 square-foot Plaza Building with creative office space and street level retail. The second phase of the project will also include an outdoor public plaza.
