Urban Edge Signs More Than 23K SF of New Leases at Maryland Retail Center
Urban Edge Properties announced four new leases totaling 23,791 square feet at The Village at Waugh Chapel in Gambrills, Maryland.
The leases increase the shopping center’s occupancy to 97%, and represent the first new retail additions since Urban Edge acquired the property in 2024. The Village at Waugh Chapel is anchored by Safeway and features retailers including HomeGoods, TJ Maxx, LA Fitness and Marshalls.
The new stores include a 5,115-square-foot J.Crew Factory, an 8,581-square-foot location, a 2,307-square-foot Quickway Hibachi, and a 7,788-square-foot Wonder restaurant. The Village at Waugh Chapel and Urban Edge were represented by Michael Ginsburg of KLNB in the Miniso, Quickway Hibachi and Wonder leases. Paul Schiffer represented the property in the J.Crew Factory lease, while Nick Bruns of Newmark represented J.Crew Factory. Miniso was represented by Colliers; Quickway Hibachi by Brian Finkelstein, Beth Sargent and Amanda DeVinney of KLNB; and Wonder by Jared R. Meier of CBRE.
