Upscale Brasserie to Occupy Former Houndstooth Pub Space

520 Henny LLC, a new upscale brasserie restaurant and bar set to open in November, has signed a new 16-year lease for 4,000 square feet at 520 Eighth Ave. at the corner of West 37th Street in the Garment District.

Matthew Mandell of GFP Real Estate represented the landlord in-house. Allen Gurevich of GFP Real Estate represented the tenant.  The space, comprising 2,000 square feet of ground-level retail space and a 2,000-square-foot basement, was previously occupied by The Houndstooth Pub.

“520 Eighth Avenue sits at one of the most heavily trafficked locations within the Garment District,” said Mandell. “This venue will be a vibrant new addition, serving the area’s office tenants, tourists and people heading to Madison Square Garden, benefitting from its high-visibility corner location along Eighth Avenue.”

Last year, Rooftop Hospitality Group, the team behind the 230 Fifth Avenue Rooftop Bar, signed a 20-year lease for 15,000 square feet to create a new rooftop restaurant and lounge on the roof of 520 Eighth Ave.
