UPS Mega Deal Sets Industrial Record
United Parcel Service (UPS) signed a mega 10-year, 521,816-square-foot lease reportedly valued at $44 million at The Brickyard in Compton, CA. The transaction ranks as one of the top five industrial leases ever signed in L.A. County, based on total lease consideration.
Clarion Partners and Trammell Crow recently completed the transformation of the 58-acre site, a former brick manufacturing plant, into a state-of-the-art industrial facility. The project caters to the ever-increasing demand for same-day logistics through its proximity to the second-largest population center in the U.S.
JLL’s Mike Fowler and Tim O’Rourke represented UPS in the transaction. CBRE’s John Schumacher, Bret Quinlan, David Stromath and Dean Haney handle leasing at the project. Elkins Kalt’s Ray Friedman represented Clarion in the lease documentation.
