University District Hotel Sells for $27M

A hotel in Seattle’s University District, The University Inn, was purchased by an entity affiliated with Seattle investment firm Onelin Capital Corp. for $27 million.

The seller was an entity affiliated with Staypineapple Hotels, a Bellevue-based real estate investment and management company focused on boutique hotels. Built for the 1962 World’s Fair, University Inn is located at 4140 Roosevelt Way NE, four blocks from the University of Washington campus and the UW Medical Center, with easy access to the Pike Place Market, Space Needle, and Seattle Waterfront.

JLL recently arranged the refinancing of Staypineapple’s The Maxwell Hotel, a 139-key boutique hotel located in Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood, for $29.5 million.
