Universal CityWalk Plans Bold Revitalization
Universal CityWalk is set to undergo a revitalization designed to retain the popular leisure destination’s contemporary and fresh appeal. The three-block, 400,000-square-foot pop cultural mecca is introducing new restaurants, shopping experiences, visually aesthetic design features, and a state-of-the-art movie theatre renovation.
Plans include updating the 18-screen and IMAX 3D theatre with technologically advanced sight and sound achievements, refurbishing the split level structure, adding deluxe recliner seats and a second level bar-lounge.
Other enhancements include a make-over of the iconic, dancing water fountain situated at the heart of CityWalk, as well as five new higher-end dining options including LudoBird, Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza, Dongpo, Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville and Voodoo Doughnut.
CityWalk’s renovations follow the recent transformation of Universal Studios Hollywood that involved 75% of the theme park being completely reimagined.
