United States Cold Storage Plans Warehouse

United States Cold Storage acquired 40 acres in western Denton, TX, on which it is planning to build a large refrigerated and frozen food warehouse. According to the Denton Chamber of Commerce, the company, headquartered in Vorhees, NJ, is planning to invest about $34 million in the facility, which is expected to open before the end of 2018.

The site is on Jim Christal Road, east of Western Boulevard, and the new project is expected to create 67 new jobs, at an average salary of $38,010. U.S. Cold Storage employs 2,500 at 38 facilities in 13 states, and has warehouses in Dallas, Fort Worth and Arlington.
