United Properties, headquartered in Minneapolis, has promoted Matt Van Slooten to CEO and Chris Pohlad to chief of staff

United Properties Names New CEO and Chief of Staff

United Properties, one of the largest real estate investment and development companies in the Midwest, has promoted Matt Van Slooten to CEO and Chris Pohlad to chief of staff. Van Slooten and Pohlad joined Minneapolis-based United Properties in 2018 and 2017, respectively.

Previously the company’s president and portfolio CIO, Van Slooten brings more than 30 years of significant real estate experience and knowledge, with an extensive track record of industry success and leadership at Carlson Companies and CSM. “I could not be more honored to lead this company alongside our talented team as we continue to build on United Properties’ strong legacy,” he said.

Pohlad joined United Properties after serving as VP of production at Northmarq. As chief of staff, a key member of the strategic leadership team and advisor, Pohlad will also continue oversight of the Four Seasons hotel and all hotel operations.
