Union Square Partnership Names Julie Stein Executive Director

Union Square Partnership (USP), a community-based non-profit organization for the Union Square-14th Street neighborhood, has appointed Julie Stein as executive director.

Stein will oversee efforts to enhance the quality of life and create a cleaner, safer, and more enjoyable environment in Union Square. Her focus will be on strategic planning, fundraising, and advocacy to promote the future growth of the district.

Previously served as the executive director of the “New” New York Panel, an action plan announced by Governor Hochul and Mayor Adams, Stein’s experience in economic development and urban planning will be instrumental in implementing the USQNext Vision Plan, which aims to transform Union Square into the city’s most accessible space.

“Union Square represents the heartbeat of our city—where New Yorkers come together to live, work, shop, learn and play,” said Stein. “I am excited to work with the entire USP team to deliver the core services that the neighborhood relies on every day.”
