Unico Properties’ U.S. Bancorp Tower in Portland Gets New Mural

A new expansive mural highlighting iconic Portland imagery has been finished along Ankeny at the corner of SW 4th Avenue and SW Ankeny Street on the exterior of the U.S. Bancorp Tower, Portland’s largest office building. The 120’ long mural titled “Radiance” was sponsored and supported by U.S. Bancorp Tower owner Unico Properties LLC. Unico acquired the 42-story, 1,075,000-square-foot office building, which is also known as “Big Pink,” in 2000.

“This mural is one of the many actions we have taken to help revitalize Portland – we are doing our part to bring Ankeny Triangle into the next phase of vitality with this beautiful and highly engaging piece of art,” said Director of Real Estate Services, Keren Eichen of Unico Properties. The mural was created by a muralist team of KSRA and They Drift (a.k.a. Carlos Aguilar), a pair of local artists who recently relocated to Portland from Seattle.
