UES Store Lease is 4th in a Series for Artisan Ice Cream Brand
The fourth in a recent series of store leases for artisan brand Van Leeuwen Ice Cream has been finalized on the Upper East Side. The 10-year lease for 800 square feet at Eames’ 1625 Second Ave. was arranged by Lee & Associates NYC’s Jaime Schultz, who has been named master broker for the Brooklyn-born brand’s nationwide expansion.
“Brooklyn as a brand is desirable and so are Brooklyn-based tenants,” said Schultz. “All of the product is made from scratch in Brooklyn’s Greenpoint neighborhood, and the attention to detail is evident in the lines that stretch out the door at every location that’s opened.”
Van Leeuwen currently has 10 locations in New York and Los Angeles. Locally, they’ll soon be joined by stores on the Upper West Side, in SoHo and in Brooklyn’s Prospect Heights neighborhood, in addition to 1625 Second. Winick Realty Group’s Hal Shapiro represented Eames.
