UC Regents Divest Landmark Sacramento Office Building
The University of California Regents sold 1130 K Street, a historic landmark office building totaling 140,908 square feet in Sacramento, for roughly $20 million. Constructed in 1924 as the original Weinstock’s department store, the Sacramento’s vibrant Government Affairs District asset features a Romanesque four-story high arched entranceway and a half-dome colonnade window line spanning the fourth floor.
The property is roughly 30% leased to a variety of public and private tenants, with the largest tenant being UC Regents. It is near the State Capitol and the Arena District that is home to Golden 1 Center, DOCO and numerous new residential units in the works. 1130 K Street is also positioned within a designated Qualified Opportunity Zone,
JLL’s Erik Hanson, Rob Hielscher, Michel Seifer, Cheri Pierce, Kristina Wollan and Nick Deaver marketed the property on behalf of the seller, and procured the undisclosed buyer.
Connect Opportunity Zones will be presented for the first time on Oct. 23 in New York. For more information, or to register, click here.
