UC Davis Medical Center Unveils $1.9B Expansion Plan
Sacramento’s UC Davis Medical Center is set to deploy approximately $1.9 billion to expand its footprint over the next decade in a expansion program that is estimated to nearly double its size, according to the recent report from the Sacramento Business Journal.
The program, as planned, will expand building square footage from 3.5 million to 6.2 million, including a 1.15-million-square-foot addition of a satellite campus in Sacramento, a new 80,000-square-foot hospital tower and a 57,000-square-foot ambulatory surgery center. UC Davis also plans to add 1,200 parking spaces to its campus, build a cancer center and update all of its facilities to resist earthquakes.
