UAW, GM Hire CBRE to Sell 420K-SF Detroit Offices

CBRE has been retained by a joint venture of the United Auto Workers and General Motors to list and sell the approximately 420,000-square-foot UAW-GM Center for Human Resources at 200 Walker St. in Detroit. The firm’s Brendan George and Jasper Hanifi will handle the listing. An asking price wasn’t disclosed.

Located along the popular Detroit River Walk, the property was constructed in the early 2000s and has hosted only one occupant since completion. The property offers convenient access to downtown Detroit and area freeways, and sports approximately 900 underground parking spaces.

“This is a very rare opportunity in Detroit,” said George. “Move-in ready properties in a popular location with this amount of amenities are not often available. It will be a wonderful option for a variety of large users, which could include medical, education, government or corporate. Replacement cost for a building of this quality would be significant.”

Connect Industrial Midwest is coming to Rosemont, IL on March 4. For more information, or to register, click here.
