UA to Break Ground on 120K-SF South Side Tech Building
The Boyer Co., in conjunction with the University of Arizona, began construction on The Bridges, a four-story, 120,000-square-foot tech-oriented building on Tucson’s south side. The facility will go north at UA’s second technology business park, located north of Interstate 10, between South Park Avenue and South Kino Parkway. The project is part of UA’s Tech Parks Arizona.
Boyer will build and own the building, with the university, through Campus Research Corp., leasing half the space under two leases. Under a 10-year lease, 45,000 square feet will house Tech Launch Arizona and the UA Center for Innovation business incubator. Additionally, 15,000 square feet will be taken up by UA Applied Research Corp., under a 20-year sublease.
Construction is scheduled for completion by summer, 2021.
