U.S. Soccer Federation Exits South Loop Headquarters for East Loop Location

The governing body of American soccer is moving its headquarters to the East Loop and putting its historic South Loop “U.S. Soccer House” up for sale, reported Crain’s Chicago Business.

The U.S. Soccer Federation has leased 33,000 square feet on the 12th floor at Beacon Capital Partners’ 303 E. Wacker Dr., where it recently moved its main office from its longtime South Loop home at 1801 S. Prairie Ave., according to a statement from the federation and the Telos Group, the agency that handles leasing in the Wacker Drive tower.

Moving to the East Loop ends a 31-year run for the nonprofit in the South Loop after a flurry of local hiring, bringing its local headcount to 185 employees. Eric Sorenson of Cushman & Wakefield negotiated the new lease on behalf of U.S. Soccer. Telos’ Jack O’Brien, Nikki Kern and Colton Riemenschneider represented Beacon.
