U of Mich. Approves $489M in Construction Projects

The University of Michigan’s board of regents approved $489 million for capital improvements, which will encompass six construction and renovation projects. Out of the full amount, $122 million will be used to expand the 172,000-square-foot W.K. Kellogg Foundation Institute and Dental Building by 37,000 square feet.

Also on tap is a $120 million renovation of the Edward Henry Kraus Building, which would allow the School of Kinesiology to consolidate its programs into one building. In addition, $75 million will be dedicated to a new robotics laboratory, and $90 million is earmarked for an engineering laboratory. The College of Literature, Science and Arts, and the William R. Murchie Science Building will also receive funds for renovations.
