U-Haul Snags Self-Storage in New Hampshire Resort Town

Marcus & Millichap closed the sale of Winnipesaukee Self Storage, a 512-unit self-storage property in Gilford, NH. Pricing was not disclosed.

“I am very excited to execute this sale for the sellers at a tremendous price and price per square foot,” said Nathan Coe, senior managing director investments. “This facility is in a very high-barrier-to-entry lake community and is truly Class A. The interest and results achieved are a testament to the continued strong demand for high-quality self-storage assets.”

Nathan Coe, Gabriel Coe and Brett Hatcher, investment specialists in Marcus & Millichap’s  Columbus office, in association with Thomas Shihadeh, Marcus & Millichap’s New Hampshire broker of record, marketed the property on behalf of the seller, a local developer out of North Shore Boston. U-Haul purchased the property.

The facility is located at 1477 Lake Shore Rd. near Lake Winnipesaukee, Beach Club Village and Paugus Bay. Phase I was completed in 2024, featuring 39,917 net rentable square feet across 512 climate-controlled units. Permits are in place for a Phase II expansion, which is expected to more than double the facility’s square footage.
