Tye Turman Takes Leadership Reins at Propel Cos.

Marriott International veteran Tye Turman has been hired as CEO of the Propel Cos., headquartered in San Antonio. Turman will begin his job on March 1, with responsibilities including expansion of all four of the company’s business lines. Turman retired from his position of senior vice president of development at Marriott, where he was employed for more than three decades.

Turman had numerous roles in operations and owner/franchise services during his time with Marriott. The Tyler, TX native began his career with Residence Inn in 1986, prior to the brand’s purchase by Marriott.

“Everyone at Propel already greatly respects and admires Tye as a consummate professional, partner and individual,” said Propel’s founder, Hans Lindberg. “I cannot think of a more qualified, better-suited person to lead Propel into our next phase.”

The Propel Cos. consists of Propel Development LLC, Propel Management LLC, Propel Construction LLC and Propel Hospitality Resource Group LLC.
