Two Tenants Join Eastex Shopping Center
Frost Bank and WingStop are joining the tenant roster at northeast Houston’s Eastex Shopping Center. Frost Bank will move into a 1,500-square-foot end-cap, while WingStop is taking down 2,924 square feet. John Nguyen and Heather Nguyen with NewQuest Properties represented the owner, PF-Eastex LLC. Scott Gardner of Streetwise Retail advised Frost Bank, and the WingStop lease was a direct deal.
The 12-acre retail center includes a 36,707-square-foot building; the property is anchored by a 109,000-square-foot Mi Tienda grocery store. The owner is planning upgrades on the asset at Interstate 69/U.S. 59 and Little York Road in summer 2019. Construction will include the addition of 25,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space for existing and future tenants.
According to the Nguyens, the development and expansion is in response to the interested generated by the grocery anchor, Mi Tienda. The owner acquired the asset about two years ago.
