Chuggin’ Monkey and Dizzy Rooster, located respectively at 219 E. Sixth St. and 306 E. Sixth St. in Austin, will soon be under new ownership.

Carmack Concepts, the original owner and operator of the established sister bars, will sell the properties to allow for more focus on new projects and its three Dogwood-branded bars.

The company says it plans to sell Chuggin’ Monkey and Dizzy Rooster to a group that includes Josh Hazzard, an Austin nightlife figure with experience managing nearby Lustre Pearl and Kung Fu Saloon.
