Two More Retailers Join the Fulton Market Parade

Brilliant Earth and Ever/Body have leased all the ground-floor retail space in a new five-story building at 1020 W. Randolph St., Crain’s Chicago Business reported. New York-based L3 Capital developed the property.

They’re joining a growing flock of retail tenants moving into the West Loop neighborhood amid a wave of development that has brought office workers, residents and tourists to the area. Brooklinen, Allbirds, Mack Weldon, Mejuri and The Puttery are among the businesses that have leased or opened locations in Fulton Market over the past year or so.

“It’s on everyone’s radar,” L3 principal Whitney Robinette told Crain’s

Unlike other downtown shopping districts, where rents have fallen, retail landlords in Fulton Market have gained the leverage to hike rents. Retail broker Greg Kirsch told Crain’s that he estimates retail rents in the neighborhood have jumped about 40% over the past two years
