Two Colleges Fill Boutique Office Building
Two nationally accredited schools, Touro College and Long Island Business Institute, have leased a combined 73,000 square feet of space at 218 W. 40th St., a boutique office property in Midtown Manhattan. The 166,000-square-foot building is now 100% leased, with an average asking rent of $55 per-square-foot.
“The demand for office space in Midtown remains strong… availability for this type of space is limited,” said Brian Neugeboren of Savitt Partners, who with Nicole Goetz and Bob Savitt, the owner of the property, serve as the exclusive leasing agents.
Touro College leased 49,300 square feet, represented by Rob Martin and Amanda Bokman of JLL, along with Richard Bernstein of Cushman & Wakefield.
Long Island Business Institute, a business-oriented academic institution, leased 24,500 square feet, represented by Justin DiMare and Howard Kessler of NKF.
