A new Springhill Suites is on its way in Marana, Arizona, five miles northwest of Tucson. The two acre site, near Interstate 10 and Twin Peaks Road, was purchased last month for $1.3 million. Construction should start by the end of the summer. Phoenix-based developer HCW purchased the land from Vintage Partners.

The development is a 4-story, 96-room hotel that has 51,641 square feet of space.

Marriott notes that Springhill Suites are geared toward the upper-moderate lodging segment of the hospitality industry. The all-suite hotel features complimentary breakfasts, workspaces, fitness center and a 24-hour market.
