Pascua Yaqui tribe picks main contractors for new casino

Tucson Casino Plans Taking Shape

The Pascua Yaqui Tribe in Tucson has announced the winners of the contractor bids for the 65,000-square-foot casino going in on Tucson’s west side. The site used to be a Century 16 movie house before being demolished to make way for the casino. They still haven’t named the facility yet.

Yaeger Architecture, McCarthy Building Companies and Summit Project Management have been selected to design, develop and oversee the new build at the intersection of Grant Road and Interstate 10 in central Tucson.

The gaming facility will feature an expansive casino floor complete with a sportsbook, high-limit room, slot machines and table games. The property will also boast three food and beverage outlets including a food court, full-service restaurant and center bar.

In addition to a surface parking lot with 195 spaces, a new four-level parking garage will be built on-site to accommodate 1,050 vehicles. The casino is Phase I. Phase II will include a hotel and conference center.
