T&T Supermarkets Continues California Expansion with First East Bay Location

Following the recent opening of its first California store in San Jose, T&T Supermarket, Canada’s largest Asian grocery retailer, announced plans to open its fourth Bay Area location and first East Bay store at NewPark Mall in Newark. The 72,600-square-foot store will occupy the former Macy’s anchor space for T&T’s largest California location to date.

Located at 200 NewPark Mall Road, the store is expected to open in Winter 2027. It will serve customers throughout Newark, Fremont, Union City, Hayward and surrounding East Bay communities. The Econic Company is representing T&T in its expansion across California.

The new store is expected to create 400 jobs. T&T currently operates stores in Bellevue and Lynnwood, WA, and recently
opened its first California location in San Jose. Additional Bay Area locations have been announced in San Francisco and Millbrae as the company continues its U.S. expansion.
