TSMC, Intel Supplier to Spend $50M on Mesa Facility
South Korea’s semiconductor company KoMiCo is scheduled to invest $50 million to build a major cleaning, coating, and repair facility in Mesa, Arizona. KoMiCo, founded in 1996, specializes in precision cleaning and specialty coating in the semiconductor industry.
The Arizona Commerce Authority announced that KoMiCo would establish its facility in the East Valley in 2026, creating around 200 new jobs. It will move into an existing 125,000-square-foot building at 7300 E. Hampton Ave. KoMiCo’s Mesa facility is expected to have multiple cleanrooms, along with leading-edge equipment and diagnostic tools.
Arizona has emerged as a hub for semiconductor investments. Taiwan’s TSMC and Intel of the U.S. are heavily invested in Arizona.
The corporation, which will soon have three plants, launched its U.S. operation in 2007. It also has a global network with operations in South Korea, Singapore, China, and Taiwan.
