With the purchase of the Villas at West Road, TruAmerica added a third Houston property to their portfolio and 11th in the state, all in the last 18 months. With the addition of the 240-unit community, the Texas portfolio now accounts for 3,300 units.

“Suburban Houston’s impressive population growth and the community’s quality location between The Woodlands and the Energy Corridor are big reasons why it held such major appeal for us,” said TruAmerican’s Ammanuel Metta.

Completed in 2006, Villas at West Road will see a comprehensive capital improvement program. TruAmerica plans to upgrade the property with the installation of new quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances and upgraded fixtures.

Los Angeles-based TruAmerica recently opened a regional headquarters in Dallas, with Metta in charge.
