Trion Takes East Bay MF for $21M
Los Angeles-based Trion Properties acquired Creekside Apartments, an 80-unit multifamily community in San Leandro, from an unnamed private partnership for $20.5 million. The value-add property at 424 Callan Ave. is near downtown San Leandro and a BART station.
Trion Properties’ Max Sharkansky says, “We were fortunate to be well-positioned to take advantage of the opportunity to acquire this asset at an attractive price, despite the hurdles caused by the pandemic.”
Built in 1969, the property features large one- and two-bedroom apartments, each with a private balcony or patio. Amenities include a swimming pool, laundry facilities, a courtyard with picnic area, and a gated parking lot.
Only six of the units have been fully renovated and Trion plans to implement renovations on the remaining units. That includes installing quartz countertops, vinyl plank flooring, stainless-steel appliances, undermount sinks, washer/dryers, new custom cabinets, Bluetooth locks, and upgraded bathroom vanities.
Cushman & Wakefield’s Jason Parr, Scott MacDonald and Seth Siegel represented the seller.
