Trio of Multifamily Developments on Docket in Orlando

RD Management is redeveloping three multifamily projects in Orlando. A former Orlando Jai Alai fronton and neighborhood strip center is being reborn as three, luxury apartment communities totaling 780 units and 72,000 square feet of retail.

The New York-based developer is working with Seminole County on the project, which will serve as a new, mixed-use district known as Oxford Place. The 26-acre project at 6405 U.S. Highway 17-92 in Fern Park will be built in in phases.

The initial $50-million phase will consist of a four-story, interior corridor building with elevator service and surface parking. It will include 246 apartment units with one-to three-bedroom floor plans. Amenities include an interior pool and courtyard with a 20,000 square foot deck that includes grilling stations, a dog park, and a dog washing station; a clubroom; a game room; a business center; and a fitness center with on-demand yoga and spin classes.

Groundbreaking is anticipated by early fall, with construction spanning the next two years.
