Tribune-Riverside JV Plans Four-Tower Chicago Development
Connect Apartments is planned for September 28th in Los Angeles. Here’s where to get more information and register.
Tribune Media and Riverside Investment & Development unveiled plans for a four-building mixed-use development envisioned for Tribune Media’s riverfront site at 700 W. Chicago Ave. in Chicago. The Tribune-Riverside joint-venture is seeking to develop the seven-acre site with three office buildings and a 310-unit residential tower.
The project would replace a vacant 115,000-square-foot industrial building with a 12-story, 450,000 office tower on the easternmost portion of the site, as well as two other towers of up to 260-feet and 320-feet, respectively.
The residential high-rise is planned to rise up to 610 feet in height, and would overlook a central plaza. The project includes open space, a river walk and parking for 540 spaces.
The site is part of the city’s recently-approved North Branch development plan, which will open up parts of the 760-acre North Branch Industrial Corridor.
