Travelers Indemnity Renews 133K SF at 485 Lex

Travelers Indemnity Company signed a five-year, 133,479-square-foot lease renewal at SL Green Realty Corp.’s 485 Lexington Ave. The tenant was represented by JLL’s Robert Ageloff in the largest of six fourth-quarter leases across the REIT’s Manhattan portfolio.

In another major Q4 deal, Heidrick & Struggles signed a new 12-year lease covering 36,031 square feet on the entire 25th floor at One Vanderbilt. The tenant was represented by CBRE’s Michael Liss and Justin Aronson, while their colleagues Robert Alexander, Ryan Alexander, Emily Jones and Alex D’Amario represented ownership.

Additionally, Cohen & Gresser signed a 10-year, 33,900-square-foot lease extension at 800 Third Ave. The tenant was represented by Newmark’s Noel Flagg.

“We feel that we were a very well-positioned portfolio before the pandemic and now set ourselves apart even further following upgrades in response to COVID-19, creating the safest work environment possible,” said EVP Steven M. Durels at SL Green.
