TravelCenters of America Buys Space for Expansion
TravelCenters of America LLC paid $2.2 million to acquire a 30,000-square-foot building at 24839 Center Ridge Rd. in Westlake, OH, a suburb of Cleveland. The property, which the nationwide convenience store/gas station company acquired from Catanzarite Investment Corp., is just 500 feet from its headquarters at 24601 Center Ridge Rd.
Thomas O’Brien, who heads up the company, told Crain’s Cleveland Business that the company needed the extra space for expansion because of recent acquisitions. “We’re not sure if we will use the existing building or replace it,” he said.
The space once was home to a Michaels store, which relocated in January 2017 to an empty grocery store space on Columbia Road.
