Transwestern Facilitates HQ Relocation for Hunt Electric

Transwestern Real Estate Services (TRS) represented Hunt Electric Corporation in the purchase of 1000 Blue Gentian Road in Eagan, Minnesota. Hunt Electric will relocate its headquarters from nearby Bloomington to its new location, a 300,000-square-foot flex/tech space.

Transwestern’s Chris Weirens, Nate Erickson, Alex Baron, Ben Youds, and Max Stewart represented the buyer in negotiations. Weirens, Erickson and Youds will also represent Hunt Electric in marketing 7900 Chicago Ave. S for sale or lease. The building was previously owned by Water Street Partners.

A national electric design, build, and maintenance firm, Hunt Electric is currently headquartered in 160,000 square feet at 7900 Chicago Ave. S in Bloomington. The firm decided to relocate as it has outgrown its current space.

Originally, 1000 Blue Gentian Road was being marketed for lease and had enough space available to accommodate Hunt Electric’s growth, including a significant amount of parking on the roof. The Transwestern helped develop a solution where Hunt will own its headquarters property and retain the four tenants currently occupying approximately half of the building.
