Trammell Crow Sells N. San Jose Spec Dev to Google
Mountain View, CA-based Google acquired MidPoint@237, a three-building industrial facility in north San Jose for a reported $117.25 million, or roughly $208-per-square-foot. A partnership between Dallas-based Trammell Crow Company and Principal Real Estate Investors completed construction on the 563,000-square-foot speculative manufacturing project in November 2016.
The Class A development is situated on a 35.5-acre site at North 1st St. and Nortech Pkwy., at the top of Silicon Valley’s Golden Triangle. The commercial real estate buildings are located at 5093, 5087 and 5079 Disk Dr.
Trammell Crow Co. affiliate, TC Agoge Associates, is also collaborating with Google to assemble land and build Google Village in downtown San Jose. The campus is envisioned for up to eight million square feet of offices for 20,000 workers next to Diridon Station. So far, the Google and Trammell entity have spent a combined $150.1 million to obtain 23 parcels.
