Trammell Crow Residential’s 36-Story Little Italy MF Approved
Texas-based Trammell Crow Residential received the go-ahead from Civic San Diego on a proposed 36-story apartment building with nearly 400 apartments in San Diego’s Little Italy neighborhood. The downtown’s planning agency unanimously approved the complex at Union and Ash streets, which at 400 feet will be one of the city’s tallest residential towers.
Among the planned amenities are a gym, outdoor pet area, 16,600 square feet of common outdoor space, sky deck and rooftop pool. There will be 403 parking spaces in three underground levels and four above-grade levels.
The unit mix includes 70 studios, 223 one bedrooms, 97 two bedrooms, and five three-bedroom apartments. There will be 32 subsidized units for low-income renters within the development. Construction is set to begin on the site at 232 West Ash St. by the end of 2019.
