Trammell Crow JV Starts $500M Bay Area Multifamily Fund

Trammell Crow Residential and Thompson Dorfman Partners are launching a $500-million fund to explore multifamily development opportunities throughout the Bay Area. The team has not chosen any specific sites yet for development, but it is looking at potential apartment sites with mixed-use capabilities.

The endeavor will also fund Thompson Dorfman’s proposed 800-unit residential development at Alameda Point.

Trammell Crow Residential has not done any projects in Northern California for decades.

Meanwhile, Thompson Dorfman is also working on the redevelopment of the Sherman-Williams plant in Emeryville and a mixed-use project called Triton Point in Foster City.
