Trammell Crow Appoints James Murray-Coleman Director of Sustainability

Dallas-based Trammell Crow Company (TCC), in an effort to develop and implement an effective sustainability strategy, has named James Murray-Coleman Director of Sustainability.

“The Director of Sustainability role is a key milestone for TCC on our journey to be the leader in sustainable development,” said Adam Weers, Chief Operating Officer of TCC. “James is a perfect fit for this position, as he has a deep understanding of sustainable building design and construction.”

In his role as Director of Sustainability, Murray-Coleman will lead TCC’s sustainability efforts globally, including the activation of TCC’s recently announced partnership with Altus Power.

Murray-Coleman joined TCC in 1998 and previously served as a Senior Vice President with the firm’s NE Metro office, managing more than 10 million square feet of development and construction activities throughout Central and Western Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and Ohio. James is a LEED Accredited Professional with degrees in Civil and Architectural Engineering, specializing in building energy and solar engineering.

About Erik Hamilton

Erik Hamilton, who has more than 15 years in CRE journalism, is a former staff writer with the Los Angeles Times and the Orange County Business Journal. In addition to The Times and the OCBJ, he was also a reporter and editor for Crittenden Research, The San Bernardino Sun and UPI. Erik also worked six years in CRE public relations with Los Angeles-based Hoyt Organization, where he was a Senior Account Executive. He later joined Lee & Associates where he served as the Director of Corporate Communications. There ,in addition to his work with Lee’s CEO, he managed 57 offices nationwide and provided PR, social media and media training for the offices. A graduate of UC Irvine, with a BA in history, he is an avid record collector where he continues to search for a rare Joy Division single.
