Traffic Control System Operator Coming to Pflugerville

MoboTrex Inc., a manufacturer of traffic control systems has been offered a relocation grant to move its facility to Pflugerville. The town’s city council approved an economic development performance agreement that will offer a grant to MoboTrex based on them investing $13 million in the nearby community, expanding into a 130,000 square-foot facility and relocating or employing a total of 110 full-time jobs within a five-year term. If MoboTrex satisfies the conditions, the town will give them a grant worth $150,000.

MoboTrex manufactures traffic control equipment including traffic and pedestrian signals, traffic control cabinets, monitoring systems and intersection software. They are currently headquartered in Davenport, Iowa.

MoboTrex’s Staci Lange had this after the council meeting, “We believe that MoboTrex will be able to continue our legacy of U.S.-based manufacturing in a more cost-effective manner than our present location provides.”
